PSYCH-K™ - what it is and what it is not...

PSYCH-K™ is a profound set of processes which assist the subconscious mind to re-write self-limiting subconscious programmes (beliefs), changing them into life-enhancing ones. Many people find these unconscious, self-limiting beliefs create self-sabotaging behaviours. Such behaviours covertly affect their ability to be successful in business and personal relationships. These invisible issues are often the ruling programmes that silently lead people to despair, frustration and exasperation in their lives.

WHAT PSYCH-K™ IS ...

PSYCH-K™ - what it is and what it is not...
PSYCH-K™ offers people an easy and effective way to change the way they behave, feel, and interact with others in their life.

Traditional tools such as affirmations, talk therapy, positive thinking, will power, reading self-help books, making vision boards, writing in journals and visualizing are predominantly limited to the conscious mind.

While these can be helpful, they are seriously limited in effectiveness. If conscious mind processes were all that were needed to change the subconscious mind, we would already be doing and being all that we wanted.

However, it is important to realise that the subconscious constitutes around 95% of our entire consciousness, and is computing at a million times faster than our conscious, logical mind. So trying to change the programmes in the subconscious using the conscious mind is likely to be an uphill battle.

The focus of PSYCH-K™ is directed at changing beliefs held in the subconscious mind. Our beliefs are the predecessors of all behaviours, feelings and interpretations that we experience in our life.

Using PSYCH-K™ people can change their subconscious programming, thus creating a different outcome from that previously experienced.

This process can facilitate the removal of the 'blocks' which stop us from becoming the very best we can be. So many of us attend self-improvement courses, undergo sessions of EFT, counselling, hypnosis, regression therapy and a myriad of other wonderful mind-expanding processes - but somehow the effects are never quite as life-changing as hoped. If this is your experience, perhaps you have subconscious programmes which just won't allow you to take advantage of all the work that have put in? Many people find that after Psych-K™ has overwritten these unrecognised negative habits, then there is unexpected access to much of their previous training and study - they have finally 'stopped stopping themselves'...

Stage 1

Using muscle testing, a ‘conversation’ can be set up between the conscious and subconscious mind. Various relevant statements can be discussed, then tested to establish whether these conscious ‘beliefs’ match those in the subconscious. Very often it is a surprise to discover that there are subconscious beliefs about ourselves and the world which are completely at variance with our conscious opinions.

Stage 2

'Permission and Commitment' protocols are used within the PSYCH-K™ processes. These ensure the Super Conscious Mind and Subconscious Mind are in alignment with the agreed upon statement and intended work, and will allow the completion of the process.

Permission also ensures the desired subconscious programming change is in the best interests of the person at that particular time. If Permission or Commitment are not allowed for the desired change, this goal cannot be worked upon at that time. Instead, a higher priority will be identified and will be addressed first.

This other 'higher priority' goal is therefore more important and appropriate for subconscious programming change. Permission and Commitment can be obtained for this goal instead.

Obtaining this permission is probably one of the reasons which can make Psych-K™ effective where many other approaches have been unsuccessful.

Stage 3

Once the use of muscle testing has been utilized to establish communication with the subconscious mind, the next stage is entered upon. ‘Whole brain’ body postures and movements cause neuron firings in both brain hemispheres, creating a ‘whole brain state’ during which programming change more readily occurs within the subconscious mind. This is termed a PSYCH-K™ BALANCE.

Stage 4

Several confirmation or verification steps are then used to satisfy the sceptical conscious mind that change has actually occurred.

What was PSYCH-K™ derived from?

The PSYCH-K™ programme is a synergistic combination of inspired ideas merged with some elements derived from Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP), Psycho-spiritual processes, Milton Erickson Style Hypnotherapy, Educational Kinesiology, and Acupressure healing modalities. The result is a highly dynamic and successful means of changing sabotaging beliefs, which is much greater than the sum of its parts.

Brain Mapping (qEEG) now offers scientific validation that changes are in fact being made within the brain during the balance process. Neuroscientist, Dr. Jeffrey Fannin, of the Center for Cognitive Enhancement in Glendale, Arizona worked with Rob Williams and PSYCH-K™ beginning in January 2009.

Together, they published a paper in the peer reviewed journal, 'NeuroConnections' in September 2011 which documents the findings of 125 participants utilizing PSYCH-K™ and Brain Mapping technology.

In his best-selling book 'The Biology of Belief', Bruce Lipton describes the physiological background to many of the potential effects of PSYCH-K™, and describes his own experiences.

What makes PSYCH-K™ different?

The processes differ greatly from most other healing modalities. It is believed the person seeking the change (Client/Partner) holds the answers within their own subconscious mind for any presenting concern. Since we are a composite of all our past experiences, this is the most appropriate place to find the answer.

The Facilitator assists the Partner in discovering his/her own inner wisdom and making the changes the Partner seeks, not changes the Facilitator thinks are best.

Practitioners who have attended the PSYCH-K™ training are called Facilitators after completion of the workshop. This designation is given because we are always “facilitating” the work, even when we are working with ourselves. The person directing any session is called a Facilitator, not a practitioner, doctor, or therapist.

This differentiation is very important as a Facilitator 'facilitates the processes' so the client can discover the needed answers within their own subconscious mind by utilizing the processes. Facilitators are not the 'keepers of the answers', the clients are!

WHAT PSYCH-K™ IS NOT...

PSYCH-K™ is Not Always a Quick Fix Answer

Many people look for fast or immediate relief from whatever is bothering them without ever understanding why the challenge is present in the first place. PSYCH-K™ may offer immediate results in many issues, but in other more complicated circumstances it may take some time to unravel the challenges and several sessions may be needed to get the desired result.

Rome wasn’t built in a day. Your life wasn’t either. We are each very complicated and unique individuals. It is important to honour the fact we are complex beings. Sometimes complex beings need support and time to discover what is at the root of the issue. Be patient with yourself and remain curious as you utilize PSYCH-K™ processes to work out what has created your challenges.

PSYCH-K™ Is Not A “Cure All”

PSYCH-K™ is NOT a 'cure' as we never offer a “treatment.” Our culture has trained us to think we will have immediate gratification and all our ills will be cured. While PSYCH-K™ has fascinating and amazing results much of the time we cannot say it will “cure” anyone, again… we are not offering a 'treatment'. We have to realize we are on a journey, a spiritual journey. This journey is full of challenge, risk and growth. We grow from challenges when we apply ourselves and continue to learn. Living life can be fulfilling, exciting, scary, and at some point in our future we will ultimately die. We can never say PSYCH-K™ will 'cure'. We can say PSYCH-K™ will enhance our life and help us understand ourselves more fully, regardless of what is happening in our life.

PSYCH-K™ Is Not Right For Everyone

PSYCH-K™ is most effective for people who are really committed to getting results. It is best suited for people who are highly self-responsible and determined. Using the processes may require confronting frustrating, uncomfortable or unpleasant beliefs we hold about others or ourselves. It is suitable for people who are curious and willing to approach their life with openness and a loving desire to change. PSYCH-K™ calls us to step into our personal power and confront that which we may have been running from for a long time. If you’re ready to change, PSYCH-K™ can work wonders in your life!

Whilst it is often a helpful adjunct to the treatment of mild psychological problems, PSYCH-K™ is not suitable for individuals who suffer from more serious mental problems such as psychosis, schizophrenia and bipolar disorders.
